Restoring Hope and Homes as We Bring Support to Hurricane Helene’s Hardest-Hit Communities

There is SO MUCH good being done in the high country the last month, it has been amazing to play our part in the process. The NC DOT continues to clear roads, machinery is everywhere repairing and recreating key roadways. There will be areas that have long term travel issues, but improvement is visible every day.

For our part, we have been busy working on housing solutions. This week’s weather being warmer has been welcome, but a roof and heaters will soon be critical again for survival. Power and water is being restored to the majority of the people with homes, welcome news for everyone. We continue supply runs to the hardest hit areas based on their specific needs. We are assisting in cleanup of properties, providing fuel for impacted areas, safe homes for families in need, and RVs as much as possible.

We appreciate your continued support and sharing of our campaign. We have been in amazing conversations for sustainable assistance in the area and look forward to continuing to ensure everyone we can assist is well taken care of!

Rebuilding Lives & Resting Places in Yancey County

HopeMill is collaborating with other local nonprofits to help facilitate and fund a dual project in Yancey County this summer. By donating, you will be assisting with funding to restore the Whitson cemetery, including: purchasing replacement tombstones, caskets, restoration services, and landscaping for the cemetery, as well as helping Haley’s family rebuild.

100% of proceeds directly support HopeMill’s ongoing work
