The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene has left many communities struggling to recover. With your support, HopeMill has been on the ground, offering food, water, shelter, and resources to help displaced families. Awhile ago, we mourned the loss of Keziah Caton—an extraordinary soul who radiated kindness and dedication. Juggling a full-time role at Hoodsly and pursuing her dreams as a committed student, Keziah left an indelible mark on our hearts.
In the face of tragedy, our Hoodsly family united, emphasizing the importance of love and support. Keziah’s passing prompted us to cherish each day, express love, and prioritize what truly matters.

Through HopeMill, we share uplifting stories of community and perseverance, turning our annual efforts into a testament to the values that inspire us. Our mission is to bring hope and support where it’s needed most, ensuring that our impact continues to grow and make a difference in the lives of others.
Amber and Trevor Ballew’s journey is one of profound loss and remarkable resilience. Their home in Craigtown, North Carolina, was destroyed during Hurricane Helene when a landslide tore through the area. In the aftermath, HopeMill and the community have come together to support Amber and Trevor as they work to rebuild their lives.
The Hoodsly video team followed our Hope Mill volunteers around to a few of the families we have been supporting. The end product was a video that tells the story of the devastation, the efforts to rebuild, and the continuing need these families endure.
There is SO MUCH good being done in the high country the last month, it has been amazing to play our part in the process. The NC DOT continues to clear roads, machinery is everywhere repairing and recreating key roadways. There will be areas that have long term travel issues, but improvement is visible every day.
