Hurricane Helene HopeMill Resilience Scholarship
The HopeMill Resilience Scholarship is dedicated to helping college students whose education and lives have been disrupted by the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. By offering financial assistance, these scholarships empower students to pursue their academic goals and rebuild their future despite the challenges brought by the hurricane.

Eligibility Criteria
Residency
Must be a current resident of one of these North Carolina counties:
Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey.
Enrollment Status
Must be currently enrolled or accepted into a full-time program at an accredited college, university or trade school program.
Impact
Demonstrated financial need due to loss or damage resulting from Hurricane Helene (e.g., loss of home, significant property damage, interruption of family income, etc.).
Age Requirement
Must be between the ages of 17 and 25.

Personal Statement
A minimum of 500 words essay detailing how Hurricane Helene has affected your life and education, and how this scholarship will help you continue your studies.

Please note that 100% of all donations come directly from the community-driven fundraiser and are used towards the Resilience Scholarship and relief efforts only. This money is not used towards our annual HopeMill Scholarship.
