We had the opportunity to meet several immediate needs and take on a major restoration project at Whitson Cemetery. That effort reminded us of something powerful: with collaboration, determination, and the insight of the affected community, there’s nothing we can’t figure out together. HopeMill is collaborating with other local nonprofits to help facilitate and fund a dual project in Yancey County this summer. By donating, you will be assisting with funding to restore the Whitson cemetery, including: purchasing replacement tombstones, caskets, restoration services, and landscaping for the cemetery, as well as helping Haley’s family rebuild.
